Who Should Attend?
This course is appropriate for rehab professionals with a baseline level of knowledge about the properties of water (at least 500 hours working in an aquatic setting). The target audience is physical therapists and physical therapist assistants although other rehab professionals may benefit.

This 1-hour webinar will bring you up to speed with fresh aquatic ideas for working with the patient populations at high risk of falls.

Learning Objectives

  1. Based on the content provided, write 1 short statement of medical necessity showing the need for aquatic therapy for a patient with a high risk of falls.

  2. Demonstrate the ability to locate 1 local coverage determination to better understand what Medicare Contractors have to say about aquatic therapy as a therapeutic procedure.

  3. Given the results from a recent study, make a 3 minute verbal “case” for providing aquatic therapy services for a patient with a high-fall risk.
  4. Briefly describe 1 activity, exercise or task derived from each of the following techniques:
  • Aquatic adaptations of the Berg Balance Tasks
  • Salzman’s Aquatic Blanket Drills (ABD)
  • Aquatic Sensory Integration (ASI)
  • Rhythmic stabilization

Common Questions
Here are some common questions about on-demand webinars.

How long after I purchase the webinar will I still be able to access it?
You have 30 days of unlimited access after the webinar link is sent to you

Will I only be able to watch the webinar once?
No, you can watch it as many times as you want. You can share it with others at your facility as well for no extra charge. The only extra charge arises if other people need to take a post-test and get a certificate. Then, they each need to pay the registration fee ($45 each)

Will I have the ability to pause the webinar and how long if needed.
Yes, you can pause it. Worst case scenario, you can just start it over and fast-forward to the part where you left off.

How long do I have to submit the test for CEU's?
We ask people to take the test no longer than 7 days after watching the webinar.
