Perfect for lunch-time continuing education for the whole team. Handouts will be made available for download with the purchase. Registrants will get a link to download handouts by email.
 

Certificates of Completion/ Post-Test
Registrants will receive a link to take a post-test immediately following the webinar. Registrants who score 80% on this post-test will receive a Certificate of Completion for 1 hour of content from Aquatic Therapy University. Preapproval of CEUs
Most states accept live webinars for contact hours without the need for preapproval. We have decided to go the extra mile and obtain preapproval of our on-demand webinars through the Federation of State Boards of PT. This course is being reviewed by FSBPT for 1 CCU (1 credit). Who Should Attend?
This course is appropriate for rehab professionals with a baseline level of knowledge about the properties of water (at least 500 hours working in an aquatic setting). The target audience is physical therapists and physical therapist assistants although other rehab professionals may benefit.

 

Overview
This 1-hour webinar will bring you up to speed with fresh aquatic ideas for the arthritis and osteoporotic client.

 


Learning Objectives

1. Describe how to execute 2-3 novel aquatic exercises for the client with arthritis.

 

2. Describe how to execute 2-3 novel aquatic exercises for the client with osteoporosis.

 

3. Given compelling supportive evidence, use 1 study's findings to support the use of aquatic therapy for clients with either arthritis or osteoporosis.

 

4. Demonstrate at least 1 method to document progress in both the osteoarthritis and osteoporosis populations (populations which tend to progress slowly).

 


Instructor:


Marty Biondi, PT, CSCS, ATRIC, is co-owner of Therapeutic & Wellness Specialists, an outpatient orthopedic clinic with two locations, and contracts to perform aquatic therapy. She has been involved in various aspects of aquatics for over 30 years, including pool administration, design and program implementation, risk management, and now as a physical therapist using water to treat various diagnoses. She has served as Director of Practice for the APTA Aquatic Section.
